Das war’s mit 2016 I That’s it for 2016

Das Jahr ist fast vorbei, aber es gibt eine letzte Sache, die ich euch gerne noch zeigen möchte. Das Schnittmuster für die Datura Bluse von Deer & Doe war eines der ersten, die ich gekauft habe. Fast drei Jahre lag der Schnitt jetzt bei mir im Regal und nun bin ich dazu gekommen, die Bluse endlich zu nähen. Und was soll ich sagen, ich bin sehr begeistert.

The year is nearly over but there’s one last thing I’d like to show you. The pattern for the Deer & Doe Datura Blouse is one of the first patterns I ever bought. That was nearly three years ago and finally I got around to sewing my first Datura. And let me tell you, I’m very happy I did.

Es ist sehr selten, dass mit ein Schnitt direkt passt, ohne dass ich Änderungen vornehmen muss. Normalerweise steht der Stoff am Halsausschnitt hinten ab und die Armausschnitte sind so eng, dass es unter der Achsel einschneidet. Nicht so bei diesem Schnitt. Ich habe zwar, wie immer, an der Brustweite eine kleinere Größen als an Taille und Hüfte, aber das kenn ich nicht anders. Abgesehen davon habe ich keine Änderungen vorgenommen und ich finde, die Bluse passt super.

It’s really rare that a pattern fits me straight out of the envelop. Usually the neckline is gaping in the back and the fabric is pinching under my armpits but not this time. As usual I had a smaller size at the bust than at the waist and hips, but that’s a typical alteration I nearly always have to do, nothing new. New however ist that that’s the only alteration I had to make and I think it fits pretty good.

Durch mein Hohlkreuz ist in der Regel im Rücken ziemlich viel Stoff “über”. Das ist hier auch der Fall, aber durch die Knopfleiste hinten fällt es nicht so stark auf, finde ich. Gutes Ablenkungsmanöver.

There’s usually a lot of excess fabric in my lower back region due to my sway back. This is no exception here but the button placket in the back is a great diversion for that problem.

Ernsthaft, achtet nicht auf meine Füße! I Seriously, don’t look at my feet!

Ich habe mich für die Variante mit den dreieckigen Ausschnitten entschieden, die fand ich schon immer toll. Durch das aufgesetzte Schrägband oben ist der Stoff zum Teil wirklich sehr dick, aber es geht noch. Der Stoff ist sehr durchsichtig, daher scheint in der Passe die Rückseite durch. Die Pfeile sind nämlich gestickt, nicht gedruckt. Sehr cool, wie ich finde.

I made the version with the triangle shaped neckline, I always liked that version a lot. Due to the bias binding it’s quite thick in some places, but it works. My fabric is rather thin and see-through, as you can see in the picture below. It looks a bit strange cause the arrows are embroidered and not printed which I think is pretty cool.

Zum Abschluss noch die Liste aller Dinge, die ich dieses Jahr genäht habe. Ich habe vergleichsweise wenig genäht dieses Jahr -und noch weniger geblogged. Keine Ahnung woran das liegt. ich hoffe sehr, dass nächstes Jahr besser wird… Folgende Dinge sind trotzdem dieses Jahr fertig geworden:

7 T-Shirts, 1 Yogahose, 1 Cardigan, 5 Blusen, 1 Mantel, 1 Rucksack, sowie 1 Jogginghose, 1 Pulli und 1 Fliege + Einstecktuch für Monsieur und 1 Kuscheltier für das Baby einer Freundin.

Last but not least a list of everything I made this year. I didn’t sew as much as the previous year -and I blogged even less. I’ve no idea why and I really hope that’s going to change next year… So, that’s what I did sew:

7 shirts, 1 Hudson Pants, 1 cardigan, 5 blouses, 1 backpack, as well as 1 Mens Hudson Pants, 1 Sweater and 1 pow tie + handkerchief for Monsieur and a stuffed Hippo for the baby of a friend.
